On my way to explore new restaurants in Copenhagen, I ended up at the Jatak. Jatak is a Michelin-starred restaurant that opened in January 2022. Jatak is the brainchild of chef Jonathan Tam, who has worked at some of the best restaurants in the world, such as Noma and Relæ. I’ve eaten at the Relæ before, so my expectations were high, and I wasn’t disappointed.
Jatak offers a seasonal menu that showcases local ingredients cooked with cultural inspirations from Asia. You can choose to sit in the cozy dining room or at the kitchen counter, where you can watch the chefs work their magic. I would always pick the counter as you can enjoy the cooks preparing the meals.
