“Onion cake”, truffles and mountain cheese

I had dinner at the restaurant Gustav after enjoying Loriot exhibition celebrating his 100th birthday at the Caricatura Museum in Frankfurt. The Gustav is a Michelin-starred restaurant specializing in modern cuisine, focusing on seasonal and local ingredients. The chef, Jochim Busch, creates innovative, elegant, and delicious dishes. The restaurant offers a tasting menu with seasonal dishes paired with exquisite wine from their extensive cellar.

The onion cake has a perfect crust and is filled with yummy cheese cream and topped with truffles. A perfect start to the evening with an umami taste. It may celebrate and converge everything that is coming into one dish. Simply awesome!
